Juntos, community is the answer.
Rooted in hope, community, and the belief that everyone deserves human dignity.
La Colectiva NTX is a community-led initiative fiscally sponsored by POCA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
What is La Colectiva NTX?
La Colectiva NTX is a community-centered initiative that brings people together under a canopy tent outside of the local Dallas ICE Field Office and are providing on the ground accompaniment, mutual support, and collective action with care. Rooted in faith, dignity, and belonging, we connect individuals and families across North Texas to accessible information, resources, and community support before an immigration appointment, during times of uncertainty, or after a loved one has been detained.
Whether someone is seeking guidance, connection, volunteer opportunities, or support during a difficult season, La Colectiva North Texas exists to ensure that no one has to face these challenges alone. Through a compassionate presence outside the Dallas Field Office and throughout our broader community, we accompany our neighbors with care, hope, and practical support when they need it most.
Why We Do What We Do
We believe that every person deserves to be seen, valued, and supported. Too often, families face fear, uncertainty, and isolation while navigating immigration appointments, check-ins, detention, or the absence of a loved one. La Colectiva NTX was created from the simple belief that small acts of kindness, solidarity, and presence can transform lives.
Outside the Dallas Field Office, we provide a welcoming community presence through resource navigation, family preparedness information, prayer and spiritual support, referrals to trusted community partners, and practical assistance during moments of uncertainty. We offer a place where individuals and families can find information, ask questions, connect with others, and know they are not alone.
We show up because our faith calls us to love our neighbor, our community calls us to care for one another, and our shared humanity reminds us that when one of us struggles, we all have a role to play. Together, we are building a North Texas where dignity, hope, and belonging are available to everyone.
We are present during the following times:
Monday through Friday: 6:00am to 3:00pm
Saturday: 7:00am to 12:00pm
Sunday: As needed
